Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is both a pleasure and an honour to address you as chairman of ADECAT. I would like to welcome you all to the new website, which I am sure will allow us to forge ahead in positioning our organisation as a reference in the Precision Turning and Machining Industry in Catalonia and will also provide the Catalan business world with greater global exposure.
The association has stepped up its activities in recent years with a view to offering a better service and greater support to its members. This has led our number of associates to grow and has also allowed us to establish a channel for dialogue with the administration.
One of the cornerstones of this project is undoubtedly training, through which we are building a reserve of workers for the present, albeit also with the future in mind. We provide the companies engaged in our industry with an innovative and quality Dual Vocational Training (VT) programme that has been acknowledged by the Alliance for Dual VT as a best cooperative practice throughout the Spanish state. One of our greatest achievements was securing the involvement of all the stakeholders (students, teaching staff, training centres, the Administration, manufacturers and suppliers), creating a strategic alliance under the ADECAT umbrella.
Driven by a philosophy of continuous improvement, we have provided a fresh boost to the Catalan Congress of Precision Turning and Machining, now called DecoMeeting. This, in turn, will allow us to tap into the main streams of knowledge transfer and trends from the industry’s most important market in Catalonia.
We therefore intend to continue to pursue the strategic plan designed by the Governing Board to accomplish our stated goals. The Industry is changing at breakneck speed, and ADECAT intends to guide you, the companies, along this path. For this reason, we would encourage you to play an active role, in the knowledge that companies, by working together, can help to increase and share knowledge and know-how.
I would ask you to take a close look at all the details of the project in order to have a better understanding of ADECAT’s objectives and also to make the most of our services.
