About Us
L’Associació de Decolletadors i Mecanitzadors de Catalunya (ADECAT) is a non-profit business Association founded in 1978 with the objective of contributing to technology and business development in the precision turning and machining sector in Catalonia. On the international stage, it is a founding member of the Syndicat International du Décolletage (SID), the organisation that brings together the sector’s main institutions.
The Association’s members are precision bar turning and machining companies (full members), as well as of the companies that supply them (technical members). In this regard, it seeks to defend corporate interests and promote the profession in the fields of machining and the design of mechanical manufacturing with a view to promoting the industry’s competitiveness and professionalisation, acting in different realms to assist its member companies; training, exports, internationalisation, the promotion of networking and innovation, and knowledge, to name just a few. For all these objectives, the Association has an annual Activity Plan to reinforce and consolidate the activities to be carried out.

We are in the midst of a paradigm shift in our industry, where the need and ability to adapt to the new realities is of paramount importance. In this regard, ADECAT seeks to provide its member companies with a series of tools to ease this transition and become more competitive, through innovation and with the cooperation of all the stakeholders.
